Stable Handbook & Code of Conduct

Welcome to Magical Horse Club. This handbook outlines the rules, expectations, safety standards, and policies required to maintain a professional, respectful, and safe equestrian environment for all riders, horses, staff, boarders, and visitors.

1. Safety First

• Safety of riders, horses, staff, and visitors is the highest priority.
• All riders and visitors must follow instructions from instructors and staff immediately.
• Running, rough play, or unsafe behavior around horses is prohibited.
• Arena gates and paddock entrances must remain securely closed.

2. Required Riding Attire

• ASTM/SEI approved helmets are mandatory for riders under 18 years of age.
• Proper riding boots with a heel are strongly recommended.
• Unsafe clothing, sandals, or loose accessories are prohibited.

3. Horse Welfare

• Horse welfare always takes priority over rider goals or schedules.
• Abusive handling or unsafe riding practices are prohibited.
• Horses showing signs of illness, injury, or lameness will not be worked.

4. Rider Conduct

• Respectful communication and behavior are expected at all times.
• Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or aggressive conduct is not tolerated.
• Beginner riders must always ride under supervision.

5. Parent & Visitor Conduct

• Parents and spectators must avoid interrupting lessons.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Visitors may not enter paddocks or stalls without permission.

6. Lesson Policies

• Lessons must be booked in advance.
• A minimum 24-hour cancellation notice is required.
• Late arrivals may result in shortened lesson time.

7. Emergency Procedures

• Emergency evacuation plans are posted on-site.
• All accidents or injuries must be reported immediately.
• Only authorized personnel may administer first aid.

8. Trail Riding Rules

• Riders must sign in and out for trail rides.
• Trail riders should carry a phone during rides.
• Young riders require proper supervision.

9. Drugs, Alcohol & Smoking

• Smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug use near horses and barns is prohibited.
• Anyone appearing impaired may be removed from the property.

10. Stable Rights

• Magical Horse Club reserves the right to refuse service or remove individuals violating safety or conduct standards.
• Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in suspension or termination of services.

By participating in activities at Magical Horse Club, all individuals acknowledge the inherent risks associated with equestrian activities and agree to follow all stable policies and safety procedures.
